Flowers bloom at night
This image is taken with the dark background. Futhermore, it is taken with the low brightness. In my opinion, this will create the feeling that the flowers are blooming at night. It is unusual thing because almost flowers are usually blooming at morning or at noon.
Here is a different image with the same flower which I have taken on the street on the way to the Tan Son Nhat airport. I took this image with different parameter (eg: shutter speed, aperture and angle). How do you feel about this image and the image above?

On their own I see them as a photography exercise, playing with the exposure of the picture.
Where is the design aspect? If you are going to play with lightness/darkness and use it for abstraction, you need to push it even more.
I would like to see less photography and more design.
